NOEL MEANEY- Executive Chairman
Noel is also Chairman and CEO of Citadel100 Datacenters which he founded in 2002. Citadel100 owns and operates Tier 4 Datacenters in Europe and has a strategic partnership with HP. In 2007 Noel sold 50% of Citadel100 to Keppel Corporation Ltd, a leading mainboard listed company in Singapore with core businesses in Offshore & Marine, Property and Infrastructure.
From 2002 to 2010 Noel was CEO and Chairman of euNetworks, a company he founded following his acquisition of the European fibre assets of Metromedia Fibre Networks (MFN). Under Noels direction euNetworks grew to become one of Europe’s largest metropolitan fibre optic infrastructure providers. euNetworks owns and operates 13 fibre-based metropolitan networks across Europe connected with a high capacity intercity backbone. In 2004 Noel floated euNetworks on the Singapore stock exchange.
Noel also holds a number non-executive roles including Non-executive Director of Alternative Energy Limited (AEL), a London AIM listed Company that develops intelligent clean energy domestic building products using solar and wind power. Noel is also Chairman of Fort Technologies, an Irish Company whose software is used by Enterprise clients and Service Providers for the complete lifecycle management of their cloud based IT environments.
From 2000 to 2002 Noel was Managing Director of MFN with responsibility for Ireland the UK and The Netherlands. From 2005 to 2000 Noel was Regional Vice President (RVP) of Computer Associates in Europe where he had responsibility for sale and operations across multiply European countries including Ireland, UK, Netherlands, Israel and Spain.
DIANE HODNETT - Chief Executive Officer
Diane oversees all commercial matters for the company including corporate affairs, fundraising, sales and marketing. Diane brings a wealth of experience to the business. Before taking her position at the helm of Sea Fibre Networks, Diane was Director of Corporate Development with euNetworks Ltd., a pan European telecoms company, involved in fundraising, M&A activity and Corporate development. She was also a member of the Advisory Board of its German subsidiary. Previous roles include senior executive appointments in telecoms and technology organisations and academic positions.
Diane graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University College Cork having studied law, finance, marketing, statistics and management.
TOM MCMAHON - Chief Technology Officer
Tom manages a team of engineers and oversees all operational issues. He plays a key role in the current CeltixConnect project, managing Backhaul, Landfalls, Marine Installation, Procurement and Commissioning. Prior to his involvement with Sea Fibre Networks, Tom was Consulting Engineer and Project Manager on a number of large scale projects including sub-sea cable networks and terrestrial networks. Typical projects include Esat l, Esat ll, Hibernian Atlantic, TGN Western Europe, TGN Northern Europe, Scotland – Ireland Interconnector, East-West Electrical Interconnector, Kerry MANs Project, Donegal MANs Project and North East MANs Project.
Tom is a qualified Civil Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Masters Degree from Trinity College Dublin.
JIM McMAHON - Network Director
Jim is responsible for the management of regulation, permitting, licences and authorisations, as well as providing vital input into cable and equipment procurement and main lay installment on the CeltixConnect project. Prior to his involvement with Sea Fibre Networks Jim was Quantity Surveyor and project Manager on a number of large scale projects including sub-sea cable networks and terrestrial networks. Typical projects include Global Crossing l, Global Crossing ll, Hibernia Atlantic, Scotland – Ireland Gas Interconnector, Fingal MANs Project, Wicklow Mans Project, Midlands MANs Project and Inland Fibre Network.
Jim is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and holds a B.Sc. Dip. Con. Econ. from Trinity College Dublin.
CAROL BROWNE - Head of Sales
Carol Browne is Head of Sales. She oversees all sales efforts for Sea Fibre Networks including defining customer requirements as well as the commercial negotiations.
Before joining Sea Fibre Networks, Carol worked for Oracle specializing in their Business Integration portfolio. Prior to that Carol held the position of Account Director in euNetworks where she successfully engaged with Fortune 500 clients and sold services across the entire European organization. Carol also worked as an EMEA Account Manager for the Global Accounts Division in Verizon Business. Projects there included sourcing, proposing, selling as well as ensuring the successful roll-out of a 75 site fully managed MPLS network for a Fortune 200 customer with a total contract value of $12 million.
Carol is qualified with a Bachelor of Arts degree from University College Dublin.
SARAH CUNNINGHAM - Marketing Executive
Sarah is responsible for the Marketing Communications of Sea Fibre Networks. This involves developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy including corporate brand development, online and offline communications, development of marketing campaigns and event management. Before joining the Sea Fibre Networks team, Sarah worked for Clear Channel, one of the world's leading outdoor advertising agencies.
Sarah is a graduate from University College Dublin, where she completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree. Following this, Sarah completed her MSc. in Marketing Practice at the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
PAUL FEENEY - Business Development Executive
Paul is responsible for the Business Development function of Sea Fibre Networks. His role is to develop new business and partnerships for the company while nurturing existing relationships. Prior to joining the team, Paul worked for Independent News and Media and conducted market research for Teagasc.
Paul graduated with a degree in business from Trinity College and has also completed a Masters degree in Marketing from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
